Our tax code should be simple, fair, and rooted in common sense. 

Like many other countries, we should eliminate the need for most people to file taxes—the government already has the information. Filing should be automatic, quick, and free.

More importantly, we need a system that treats all income the same. Right now, wages earned from hard work are often taxed at higher rates than passive income from investments. That means working families get punished while billionaires pay less on the money they make by doing nothing more than holding stock portfolios.

It’s time to level the playing field. If you work for a living, you shouldn’t pay a higher tax rate than someone who lives off investments. Everyone should contribute their fair share, and no one should get special treatment just because they’re wealthy.
